Our passion is to create clean and health supporting products that are delicious and beautifully crafted. We are both obsessed with wellness, with quality and with producing incredible products that look, taste and make you feel amazing.
We are excited for the opportunity to grow the business and make it sustainable on every level and are passionate about supporting our community, creating an environment that is nurturing, safe and offers everyone the opportunity to grow and thrive within it.
It’s all about starting at the beginning, feeding and nurturing ourselves first, our own tummies, with the good stuff, which in turn positively impacts and enhances our wellbeing, which then has a knock on effect and reverberates out to our families, the community and beyond.
Amber Rose, Founder & Director
My deep passion for fermentation and brewing started when I developed a serious autoimmune disease. At times I was unable to leave the house, suffering from debilitating symptoms. In a determined effort to restore my health, I started making probiotic rich foods and drinks to support my gut health and boost my immune system. After a year of consistently eating and drinking fermented foods and reversing all my autoimmune disease symptoms I decided to turn my passion for making delicious ferments into a business. I started to commercially produce fermented drinks and foods at the Matakana Farmers market in the summer of 2018.
My free-range childhood was spent on an organic farm north of Auckland. My mother is Kay Baxter the world renowned seed saver and organic gardener, regenerative agriculture and permaculture pioneer. After leaving New Zealand in my late teens to pursue a career in food, I have since travelled the world working as a food stylist for the UK’s top magazines and TV shows, and cooked for the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Hudson, Chris Martin, Mathew Bellamy, India Waters, Sadie Frost and Kate Moss to name a few.
I have written four cookbooks which have all become international best sellers. I now live on the Matakana coast with my two children and building the Wild Delicious business is my full time job.

After selling my food business Pure Delish in 2019 and moving to Matakana for a slower pace of life, I met the lovely Amber Rose after moving to Matakana in 2020. I was sprinkling some Kaz gold dust around the community and doing some mentoring with small businesses. I met up with Amber to find out more about her small fermenting business and how she planned to grow it from a market stall in Matakana to something more. By the end of the meeting I realized not only what an incredible product she had created, but more so, what a crazy, talented, driven and determined lady she was. This combination in my experience is a rare find.
The next time we met it only took a few minutes before Amber and I where scheming how we could come together to make more magic. I went home that night and asked Dave how he felt about buying into another Food business, after swearing I would never buy or start up another one again. The rest is now history.
